Man of Steel Sardar: Bilingual Play and Film on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

The creators have announced an inspiring bilingual narrative that portrays the unity and ideals embodied by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the film titled ‘Man of Steel Sardar.’ Sardar Patel, India’s inaugural Deputy Prime Minister and the first Home Minister from 1947 to 1950, remains one of the nation’s most revered leaders and architects.

Born on October 31, 1875, in the village of Nadiad, Gujarat, the movie takes the audience on an emotional journey, tracing his transformation from a visionary lawyer to the ‘Iron Man of India,’ who played a pivotal role in unifying the country after gaining independence.

‘Man of Steel Sardar’ will delve deeply into Sardar Patel’s life and ideologies, showcasing his unbreakable spirit, unwavering determination, and commitment to national integration.

The story narrates the trials and tribulations faced by Sardar, including the Kheda Satyagraha, Satyagraha, and Bardoli Satyagraha. The film touches upon Sardar’s personal life and his philosophical beliefs through various incidents.

The movie not only portrays the leader but also reveals the humane side of Sardar Patel – his humility, compassion, and dedication to the people of India. From the integration of Hyderabad and Junagadh, the film captures the pivotal moments that shaped Sardar Patel’s enduring legacy.

Producer Mayur K. Barot expressed his honor in bringing Sardar Patel’s incredible journey to life through the film ‘Man of Steel SARDAR.’ He considers it a tribute to Sardar Patel’s unwavering determination and leadership, showcasing the remarkable story of a visionary who played a pivotal role in shaping the destiny of the nation.

Writer and director Mihir Bhuta spearheads this cinematic masterpiece. He explained that the film ‘Sardar’ is based on his original Gujarati play of the same name. The play and film aim to showcase Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as both a person and a statesman. The project seeks to present the multifaceted personality of Sardar Patel, focusing on his interpersonal relationships, clarity of thought, and innovative problem-solving abilities. Mihir Bhuta’s primary objective is to delve into Sardar Patel’s evolving relationship with Mahatma Gandhi. Although the film ‘Sardar’ remains unfinished at present, it has been an enriching journey for him as a writer.

Produced under the esteemed banner of White Measure Entertainment, written and directed by Mihir Bhuta, and produced by Mayur, the film features Vedish Zaveri, Ajay Jayram, Chirag Vohra, Jimit Trivedi, Hiten Kumar, and Chetan Dhanani. It is a bilingual film in Hindi and Gujarati.
