Jailer OTT Release: Rajinikanth’s blockbuster film, “Jailer,” which shattered box office records, is gearing up for its debut on the OTT platform Prime Video on September 7th. In an announcement on Saturday, Prime Video confirmed that Nelson Dilipkumar’s crime drama will be available for streaming starting from September 7th.
Rajinikanth’s most recent release, which hit theaters on August 10th, has amassed a staggering worldwide box office collection of Rs 625.95 crore to date. In its initial week, the crime drama raked in Rs 235.85 crore, followed by Rs 62.95 crore in the second week and Rs 29.43 crore in the third. The film is estimated to have added another Rs 1.60 crore to its earnings on the fourth Friday, bringing the total to Rs 329.83 crore.
Produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, the film was penned by Nelson and boasts a cast that includes Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Master Ritvik in significant roles. The film also features special appearances by Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff.
In recognition of the tremendous success of “Jailer,” Rajinikanth has been presented with a BMW X7 by Kalanithi Maran, the chairman of Sun Pictures. A video capturing this momentous gift exchange was shared by Sun Pictures on the social media platform.
Prime Video officially announced the OTT release of “Jailer” on social media with the caption, “Jailer’s arrival is imminent—time to activate your vigilant mode! JailerOnPrime, September 7th.” The film will premiere on the OTT platform on September 7, 2023.
Nelson Dilipkumar, in an official statement, expressed, “With ‘Jailer,’ our aim was to create a captivating entertainer that would showcase Thalaivar in a full-fledged action role. We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming love from audiences and the praise from the media.”

At the same day, Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ movie is also released in the theatres in Hindi alongside Tamil & Telugu.
