Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey starrer film Liger has been released in theaters on 25 August 2022. The film Liger is getting mixed responses from the audience. The film is written and directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Dharma Productions & Puri Connects. The film has got a rating of 4.1 out of 10 on IMDB with 500 votes so far.

What is in the Film: Sashwath ‘Ligar’ Agarwal (Vijay Deverakonda) comes to Mumbai from Karimnagar along with his mother Balmani (Ramya Krishnan) to get training in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Liger’s dream is to become an MMA fighter. Liger finds a coach in Mumbai and starts training. Liger’s mother Balmani warns him to stay away from girls and not fall in love but Liger falls in love with Tanya (Ananya Panday). Along with love and training, Liger Movie is the story of Liger going from a National Champion to an International Champion.

Liger Movie Review

Liger movie is an action sports drama film. Vijay Deverakonda has been successful in doing justice to his character in the lead role of the film. Vijay Deverakonda’s performance in the role of a mixed martial arts aspirant in the movie Ligar is a delight to your eyes. His action sequences are excellent. The film presents a fine example of action choreography.

The songs of the film Liger are catchy and the background music enthralls you throughout the film but after the first half of the movie, it seems to fail to impress the audience. In the film, Ananya Pandey’s character Tanya, along with the lead character Liger, feels the forced scenes in the film. In the film, Balamani, the character of Liger’s mother, has managed to portray Ramya Krishnan on screen in the best way ever.

Vijay Deverakonda’s performance in the film and his screen presence makes you feel good. But the story of the film does not impress you so much. The action choreography in the film thrills you in between but the forced dialogues and many scenes in the film do not manage to connect you with the film.

Liger’s movie is getting mixed responses from social media users. The fans of Vijay Deverakonda are very much liking this film. A Twitter user wrote, “A film that had the potential to be decent gets ruined by bad writing and cringeworthy scenes. VD (Vijay Deverakonda) tried his best and his body transformation is great but his stuttering is annoying. The heroine’s track is amazing. Nothing to say except a few moments.”

Another Twitter user wrote about the film, “To.. To.. Torture. Such a wasted opportunity for a film that got good hype. It just needed a good talk!”.
